Our Task : Creating a Digital Storytelling

Hi, everyone!
For this week's task, we have had three options: Firstly, we can prepare a story of me and my friend. Secondly, we can demonstrate a process. And finally, we can create a story with drawings and audio! We chose third option with my partner: Havva Nur ÇELİK. I want to inform about our process. We decided on the setting, the sequence of events, conflict, climax and resolution which was necessary for our story. We did this digital story for young learners. After finishing our preparation, we started to record our video. Of course, we did mistakes while recording the story and we took records over and over.I think this task is the hardest and challenging one.We tried to act like a child and spoke so. We as an English teacher should use digital stories and give an opportunity to our students to create a digital story. Because, while they are doing things like this project, they will learn some words and forms. I hope you will enjoy.

            Hello! I will introduce Fun Easy English website. Teenagers and adults can benefit from this website easily. However, the website's some sections are appropriate for kids. Teachers can use the website  in the their classrooms. This website is created by Howie Hayman. Howie Hayman is an English teacher. He spent many years working on his internet projects.You will find many online activities in the website.Thanks to the website, you can speak English in the everyday communication fluently. Moreover, I claim that you can develop your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills easily. The website consists of 16 sections. These sections are :


The daily classrom section includes the classroom schedule. Begin with the January 1 lesson and then continue on through the calendar every day.




The pronunciation section includes 44 lessons.In the lessons you will watch a video, and learn the following: how to spell this sound, the sound type, proper mouth position. You will practice      pronouncing this sound and take a test.

  

The grammar section consists of 8 parts. For example, you will learn the definition of a noun, learn the types of nouns, and take a test in the noun part.

In the internet slang section, please DO NOT click any of the links unless YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.

In the popular slang, you can learn the slang used in movies, television, and popular music.You will be able to understand native English.


In the idiom section, you can see the idioms used in movies, television, and popular music.Moreover, you can find idiom cartoon video.


The vocabulary section  is a complete list of the vocabulary pages. The section consists of 3 parts. These are special English vocabulary, vocabulary flashcards and the classroom vocabulary.



The survey section is a complete list of the surveys. Each one of these surveys is usually found in two places on the site, one survey in the Fun Easy English Classroom, and the same survey on the individual survey page.

The tests section includes pronunciation tests, reading comprehension tests, grammar tests and vocabulary tests.


The website's reduction section is very important because you need to use reductions when you speak English in order to sound more natural.


 You must learn to write the English alphabet correctly in manuscript and cursive. So, you can use the alphabet writing section.

The alphabet 4 kids section is for kids to learn the capital letters of the English alphabet. It includes videos and many examples.

The fun easy English videos section includes pronuncation, English alphabet writing, English alphabet writing for kids, vocabulary, grammar, English language, miscellaneous and holiday videos.

The fun easy English reading section is a reading comprehension lesson to test your ability to understand information written in English. It includes videos, video scripts and tests. For example !

Thanks to, the fun easy English on youtube section, you can access many useful videos. 

               Therefore, I like this website very much. Because the website shows and teaches the use of the language in the actual environment. There are a lot of apportunities for both learners and teachers. Especially teenegar and adult learners should use this website certainly. Moreover, the website helps you to develop your skills. I think that  you can  understand speaking of native speakers after you visit this website. The teachers can find different activities, examples, videos, tests, flashcards in the website. As we know, the teachers should not keep to only one technique in the classroom. I am sure the  website is very important for developing your everyday communication and everyday language. Because, we must learn the culture of  speakers of the language.The website is very attractive because it is colourful  and it includes various sections. Also, the teachers can use the website for their schedule arrangement. But, the website is not enough for the grammar. The grammar explanations are insufficient in the sections. The teachers should not use for the perfect and explicit grammar lessons.
